LANGUAGE LEARNING OPPORTUNITY

We are pleased to inform you that we have access to a limited number of liscences through Rosetta Stone, one of the nation’s most recognized and respected language instruction companies. We are offering this opportunity to you and your employees based on business need to promote clear communication of work instructions and higher levels of productivity, safety, and diversity.

The languages we are offering include but are not limited to; Spanish (Latin America), English (US), French and Chinese (Mandarin). The language learning program is web based through Rosetta Stone with supplemental audio downloads on LKQU. This means that learners will be able to access the program 24 X 7 from any computer with a high speed internet access.

Learning a new language for use in business is challenging and time-consuming.  Before pursuing this opportunity, please consider carefully if time can be dedicated to this task. Each langauge progam in Rosetta Stone is approximately 100 hours long and these licenses are only active until 4/27/2012. Learners must dedicate a minimum of 2 hours per week both to continue to be eligible to use the Rosetta Stone program and to provide enough time to learn the target language.

Managers: Be aware an hourly employee must be paid if we require that the language training be taken either during working or non-working hours.  A salaried employee will receive no additional compensation for completing the program during non-working hours.
